Our Philosophy

Buying and selling property will always be a significant experience, but it does not need to feel opaque and difficult to understand. We aim to educate our clients so they feel confident making sound decisions throughout the nuances of their transaction.

You can trust us to listen to your concerns, fight for your best interest, and give you the attention and consideration you deserve.

Katelyn Convery trekked all over the globe on her long journey homeward. Soon after graduating from the University of Oregon with a Communications degree in 2007, she moved to Seoul, South Korea where she taught English at a public middle school for two years. Her next stop was India where she studied yoga in various locations across the subcontinent. Then directly onwards to Barcelona, Spain to teach English and hone her musical performing skills busking in Parc Guell and on Las Ramblas.

In 2011 she moved to Cape Town, South Africa where she worked as a fundraiser in the non-profit sector and continued performing musically. Finally, in 2015 Katelyn moved back to her native Portland, Oregon to find a city much changed. Greeting the city with fresh eyes, she could see what a special place this was and knew she would have to act fast to have her own little piece of it.

In the fall of 2015, Katelyn hired her first realtor to help put an offer in on her neighbor's house. The neighbor was close to foreclosure and needed to sell quickly. Her loan was one week from closing when she noticed a steady stream of people driving by the house and walking around it. She asked one person why he was there and he said that this house was up for auction the next week and he intended to bid. Katelyn immediately called her realtor and he laughed off her concerns. The next week, instead of signing at the title company as planned, she was called the day of closing to be told the home had been sold at auction the day before.

This experience was devastating for Katelyn, but even more so for the sellers who had lived in the home for 30 years and now had nothing to show for it. She vowed to become a real estate expert and make sure she and the clients she represented would never suffer a similar experience.

In 2016, Katelyn started apprenticing with a group of house-flipping entrepreneurs. They were realtors, contractors, and wholesalers with years of experience in their areas of expertise. She got to work helping the team and by the fall of 2017, she was a licensed realtor working on two of her own "flip" properties and had founded her own construction company.

Since then, Katelyn has become a dual-licensed realtor in OR & WA, worked as a general contractor, and overseen the design and major renovation of 12 homes and one build. She has worked as a designer for investor and residential clients and is an expert at which home improvement projects increase marketability.

She now lives in the Mt. Tabor area serving clients that have become her treasured community throughout the region. She takes pride in helping clients' offers to be accepted in the highly competitive NW housing market and negotiating the most beneficial terms possible for each buyer and seller she represents.
